The Indie Edit - Unveiled Magazine

I was so excited to be back with my Unveiled buddies working on the latest issue of the magazine Issue 14 S/S 2020 which happens to be called the Indie Edit. This was very apt because my new little daughter happens to be called Indi and she came along as my little helper on this issue.. she was the star of the show!

It was especially exciting because I was creating the front cover look.... so the pressure was on!

The brief for the front cover was natural textures, golds, opulent and glam... think lots of pampers grass, pearls and jewels.

I kept the make up soft but glam, using all my favourite products... actually most of my kit consists of Charlotte Tilbery! One fave I do have at the moment is BFF skin perfecter by Trinny London.

We had a few different looks for the hair on this shoot. We started off with the hair down and wavy. I used my GHD Soft Curl Tongs to create this which gave me a smooth large curl to keep it in place. I used Label M Dry Texturising Spray and finished with some Shine Mist. I use the texturising spray all the time...its my go to product. It's a mixture of dry shampoo and hairspray.

We then went for a slick back high statement ponytail... which looked fab! The model was wearing Jenny Packham Bridal on this shoot which was very glam; jewels, feathers, long capes. Taking the hair away from the face showcased this.

For the cover shot we decide the hair needed to be up. We went for a boho braid away from the face into a low bun finished with a small pearl accessory by Debbie Carlisle. This again worked well because the model was wearing an amazing high-necked jewelled cape.

The whole day was great, it was really nice to see everyone and introduce my little one... Indi’s first ever photoshoot at 6 months old!
