Most Curious Wedding Fair February 2020

When Rebecca from Most Curious asked me to work with them I jumped at the chance, their vibe is just my cup of tea! 

I travelled over to Manchester to Depot Mayfield a huge warehouse where the event was being held. It looked sooo cool! I teamed up with my make up bestie, Lucy Hart to create hair and make up for six models for the catwalk show and photoshoot.

The stage looked amazing, it had been dressed by the amazingly talented florist, Frog. It was full of brightly coloured pampas grass, draping orchids and small pretty brightly coloured flowers, it looked like a summer meadow! We teamed up with some amazing bridal suppliers on this show who I'll credit at the end.

We had two looks to create and the briefs were…

Look 1 - MAXIMALISM

Florals and patterns with layers, big shapes, huge sleeves. It was very chintzy with bold accessories. The whole look was quite dreamy with a historical element with the headwear, the girls wore huge bows. The high necks and huge sleeves gave off this vibe too… We kept the make up dewy and natural with a pop of colour on the eyes lips and cheeks. The hair was natural too, loose curls, effortlessly cool. One of my favourites was the low pony with added sections of infinity braids which I then wrapped and knotted gold threads through for an added boho element.

Look 2 - PEARLY QUEENS

Slick, shimmery and shiny! Fun contemporary, trend based vibe with traditional draped silhouettes. The girls wore these statement, crown like headbands, very opulent and gold. Again quite an historical kind of look. The hair and make up was kept dewy but a little more smudged and edgy. Darker liner and glossy bold lips which looked cool with the dresses. They were very pretty and girlie and with almost metallic shiny fabrics in the dresses.
